MY LIFE

Venice is out; Jerusalem is in! I hope to make a trip there this November as part of a media exposure entourage. As much as I prefer to avoid seeking help in this regard, the costs and logistics of such a trip are considerable, and if you are able to support me in any way, it would be greatly appreciated. Last week my brother Jeremy wiped out on a bike stunt gone tragically (if not somewhat humorously) wrong. He suffered a concussion, a dislocated shoulder, and a fractured nose among other injuries. Thankfully he is recovering very well but please keep him in your prayers.

THE WORLD

A horrific plane crash in Greece left over 120 dead.

Israel has begun extremely sensitive task of clearing the 21 Gaza settlements of their 8500 inhabitants.

MOVIES

Dukes of Hazzard was a slow start, but got immensely funny in the late going. Not a movie about plot, humor, slick driving, and Jessica Simpson are the only things keeping the movie going.

Four Brothers, though brutally violent, is a strong film from John Singleton and includes a solid performance by Andre Benjamin (of Outkast fame).
