Shortly after 9pm, November 4th, 2008, projections showed Electoral College votes of 297 in favor of Democratic Presidential Candidate, Senator Barack Obama. With 270 votes required to win the White House, Senator Obama seems poised to be named President Elect, and to be inaugurated in January as the 44th President of the United States of America. Congratulations to Senator Obama, and to the American people for demonstrating, in an unprecedented way, the power of democracy and the desire to reestablish the dream for which their country once stood.

With Renewed Hope,
Joseph

Obama is at this point only a celebrity with a lack of any real political accomplishments. I believe the american people have extremely large expectations that would be difficult for any president to live up to. I for one will not buy into any of the hype until I see what mass "changes" he is going to bring in that will turn things around.
