Greetings and salutations!

Again it has been over 2 months now since my last post and, again, I beg your pardon. In some ways there has been quite a lot going on (though not much of it makes for interesting reading) and in others things have simply been moving along. For those of you not otherwise aware, I left Japan in the middle of July and returned to Canada in anticipation of my upcoming relocation to Israel.

My departure from Japan came about 2 weeks earlier than planned as I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to spend a week house-boating on the Shuswap with my family. It was a first for me and I really enjoyed the vacation and valuable time spent with loved ones. You can see some photos up on Facebook or in my album. Back in Alberta I have been staying with my brother or my father and spending time catching up with old friends. Of course, much of my time has also been spent in preparation for my next move.

The lengthy, personally challenging process of acquiring my Israeli working visa has now reached its conclusion and I will be leaving for Israel before month’s end. Though a great deal of work has been put into this process, there are still many unknowns but I am confident in my decisions and I know that God is faithful. There’s not a great deal I can tell you at this time aside from what I’ve written previously: I’ll most likely be living in Haifa and I will be working for a technical documentation company (which shall remain nameless for now). Once I have gotten settled I will be sure to pass on many more details.

Those of you who know me well know this is something that I have been working toward for many years; this is the fruition of a long harbored dream. While I am anxious and uncertain in some regards, I could not be more excited for what lies ahead. Please continue to keep me in your thoughts and prayers and continue also to walk beside me through this ongoing journey.

With Hope,
Joseph
