A grisly car bombing in Lebanon has left the ex Prime Minister dead and proves that warring factions inside the Arab world remain a major stumbling block to international efforts in the region. In Palestine, more progress is being made. It seems PM Abbas' impending retirement (he has said he'll only serve 1, 5 year term) has a fire under his feet to press for a lasting change while he's in office.
The resignation of CNN commentator Eason Jordan proves the growing power of Web Bloggers in influencing how the media works. Jordan's comments implying that journalists were being intentionally targeted during the Iraq campaign hot him into hot water. The validity of such allegations aside, I find it absurd that journalists believe they're entitled to some form of special protection in the middle of a war zone.
An interesting study was released last week exploring possible genetic predispositions to theism/faith/religion. Check it out here (use BugMeNot.com or register for free).
