In Iraq: Yesterday's election saw two miracles: 1. A voter turnout of close to 60% - Congratulations go out to the Iraqi people for standing in defiance of threats of violence from terrorist infidels. 2: The Arab media actually reporting on the vote as opposed to focusing on violence.

In Israel: Israeli forces are scaling back operations in the "occupied territories" and handing security to Palestinian forces leading up to a welcome meeting between Ariel Sharon and Abbu Mazen.

In Business: In a supposed age of capitalism and deregulation, we have seen some of the largest monopolies being formed out of the world's biggest mergers. The most recent of which is the $57 Billion deal between Proctor & Gamble and Gillette, and now SBC is acquiring AT&T to create the biggest communications company in North America. Good times.
