Greetings and salutations!

I'm walking through the dusty streets of San Clemente, the orange glow of the sunset bathes the rising tide in soft light. Tonight it was actually quiet enough for me to hear the ocean's waves lapping up onto the sandy shore and I remembered why I first came to this town. Of course, a lot had changed since then and a momentary glimpse of beauty or brief distraction from the general chaos was rare.

Local gangs ruled the streets and heroin was their kingdom's currency. Those families who were too poor to leave scraped a living working jobs for the cartels and just trying to stay out of the crossfire. And here I was in the middle of it all wondering what the hell I was still doing here. Sure I had wanted to take the first bus out when the cartels started up, but this was my home, my kind of town. I wasn't ready to just up and go. Of course, I was only one man with no money, no weapons..around here that meant no power. But I did have one important thing; I had a plan.
