Hello and welcome to the latest Patmos update!

There will be an actual story update that I'm excited about and I hope you enjoy, but I want to deal with some other things first. First off, in regard to the last poll. While 72% of voters chose to post the entire story, only 18 out of an anticipated 30 voted, this is somewhat discouraging. If there are reasons for this, please let me know. I see that the forum has also not been used, but perhaps the story hasn't developed to that point. I think once I create some character descriptions for you that activity may pick up. In any case, the response to the poll is somewhat of a compromise. In future, there will be a link to a page with the whole story, rather than always posting it over and over on Patmos. This should be convenient for everyone.

Now, I know its a bit past the Oscars, but I just have a few quick comments to make. I want to say congrats to The Two Towers for its Visual FX and Sound Editing awards. More importantly though, I want to rub everybody's face in the fact that Spirited Away beat out all the American/Disney flicks for Best Animated Feature. So cool that Anime is making an impact. Did anybody catch Barbara Striesand's face when Eminem won for best song? I thought that was so funny and congrats to Marshall! Adrien Brody surprised everyone by taking Best Actor. Although I think anyone who saw the Pianist wouldn't have been surprised at all....bloody awesome! He also gave an incredible speech asking for peace in the world...very cool. Speaking of speeches at the Oscars, Michael Moore is my hero! Even if I don't agree with everything he said I think it was awesome that he had the balls to speak out like he did. Finally, to Roman Polanski, who won for Best Director but couldn't attend because he'd be arrested the second he set foot in the states....amazing movie man, but I still think you're sick!

Ok ok, enough of that and onto more serious matters. As many of you know, I will be leaving April 26th for 3 months in Israel. Without going into great detail, I am looking forward to this very much, and am confident that now is the time that has been set aside for it to take place. I appreciate all your prayers and support. I will try to be in contact, and continue to develop Patmos, but I can not say for certain how that will work out while overseas. I want to thank you all for being a part of this and assure you that it has only just begun! Stay tuned and God Bless!
